Argan Oil Benefits and Uses

Can you imagine argan oil is also known as ‘liquid gold?’ Now if that doesn’t perk your interest we don’t know what will! Argan oil is a rich oil that typically comes from a native Moroccan tree, pressed from the kernels of the tree’s fruit. While argan oil can also be used in the kitchen, we’re going to focus on its awesome natural benefits on your skin and hair.

Treats Acne and Tones Skin

Argan oil is rich in Omega 9 and omega 6 fatty acids, which are known to heal acne-prone skin. Acne-prone skin is usually deficient in Omega 6, also known as linoleic acid. Natural sources of linoleic acid will reduce that inflammation and keep the skin balanced and moisturized. It has also been proven to reduce sebum levels in oily-prone skin types, imagine that, an oil which reduces oil!

Softer Skin and Hair

Usually what’s good for your skin is good for your hair. The vitamin A and E found in argan oil will hydrate and soften skin and hair. And, the best part is, the oil is light and easily absorbs into the skin and hair. It’s great for all skin types and won’t leave your hair looking and feeling greasy.

Treats Hair Damage, Split Ends, Frizz and Hair Loss

Did we mention is also treats dandruff? What more could you ask for from a little kernel? Argan oil has been used for centuries to treat hair loss, because no, hair loss is not a modern problem. It has also been proven to treat damaged hair from the sun or hair dye, will tame frizz and bring your scalp back to one piece (AKA no more flakes flying from your scalp to your shoulders and chest, computer or desk).

That should explain why argan oil is found in so many beauty products. Sure sounds like an essential oil we’re happy to find on our labels.
