Since we’re no longer 10 years old with naturally glowing skin, we need to find our own little tricks to keep our face looking young and beautiful. Luckily, there are many tricks out there to choose from.
Let’s jump right into the do’s and don’ts to improve the skin and keep it shining (obviously we mean glowing here and not oily). First of all, if you have dry skin, avoid taking steaming hot showers, and if you can’t avoid the heated pleasure, try not to run the torch over your face, and when you’re finished with your heat rush, cool down the water temperature and gift your face with some cool water.
Next up, always, always, remove your makeup before you go to sleep, no matter how sleepy and cozy you are. You can either remove the makeup with your favorite makeup remover or find some natural oil in your house like, coconut oil, olive oil, or jojoba oil to remove the makeup from your eyes, lips and skin. Speaking of sleep, make sure to get at least 6 hours of sleep each night, while 8 is the golden number, at least 6 will prevent your skin from drying out, looking dull, and sagging.
And finally, make sure to keep your skin protected from the sun, always keep your skin pleasurably moisturized, exfoliate regularly to remove dead skin and dirt, make sure to have a great toner, and most importantly drink tons and tons of water while eating a healthy and satisfying diet. A healthy diet rich in vitamins and minerals (we’re talking fruits, vegetables, fish, nuts and legumes here) will help remove toxins from your body while building up energy, elasticity, and promote new and healthy skin cells. What better time to start a healthy diet than in summer?
